i was recently quoted $6580 for Damon System braces on all top and bottom teeth. This seems really expensive! Should i check out other providers first? Also, my orthodontist said there is nothing wrong with the teeth on my lower jaw, so is there any option for only getting braces on the upper teeth?

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

For an adult treatment of both upper and lower, $6580 is not out of line. Definitely Damon braces is the route you should go. They are by far the best way to move teeth. The problem with only doing the upper teeth, is that it is almost impossible to keep your bite good. Your arch will widen out some using the Damon System, and thus, it will not match with the lower.Invisalign can treat just one arch and keep it cordinated with the lower, but hopefully the orthodontist explained the disadvantages of Invisalign to you.$6580 is the cost for a level 2 adult for me (there are 4 levels). So, you would either be that, or if I felt your case was pretty simple, it would be $6180.
