Offering $1,000 to extract my tooth - Serious offer
Added: July 22, 2008 - 7:21 PM
By: roguetooth@yahoo.com, Portland, OR
Need Dentist / Specialist: No
Provide Cost Estimate: No
X-rays Available: Yes
Case Summary
Extractions / Oral Surgery
Teeth: 14
Last Full Mouth X-Ray: July 2008
Last Cleaning: May 2008
Case Description
I am offering $1,000 to extract my tooth, no questions asked. Dental professionals or Dental Students in training only please. I am looking for a safe, clean, and professional extraction. I am not looking to make my issue worse.

A brief background. I have a tooth that has tiped outside the dental arch. I have had it reviewed by 2 dentists, 2 orthodonists, and 2 oral surgions. I have used 6 months of retainers and 2 months of braces to move it. Nothing has worked and meanwhile im in horrible muscle and body pain from this.

I have 100% accepted the fact that I want to extract the tooth. However, nobody will pull it because its "healthy". They are looking at this from the prospect of my tooth rather then my body and jaw. Further details can be provided if necessary.

I understand this is against the dental industry, thats why I am offering $1,000 in cash under the table. No names or questions asked. I wont know you and you wont know me.

This is a serious inquiry, so please only serious responses.

When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
  • Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
  • Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description, special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
  • Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
  • Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors. Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

I don''''t necessarily think I''''m the one to take your tooth out but whichever oral surgeon you''''ve gone to should not have a problem removing a tooth if it is bothering you. While we certainly don''''t like or enjoy removing teeth that appear to be perfectly healthy, you are in control of your own body and are the only person who can make decisions for yourself. Your dental professionals can guide you to the best decision but still must do you the favor of giving you all possible treatment options. Not all patients choose the treatment that their dentist might consider the best treatment. That doesn''''t mean it''''s the wrong treatment, it just means it''''s not what would be recommended as best.

You should not have to deal with a tooth removal "under the table!"

While dentists are certainly acting in your best interest by giving you the tools to maintain healthy teeth, not every treatment is right for every person.

cheers and good luck!

Call me if you need a referral to a good Oral Surgeon and I''''m more than willing to do a quick-look, second-opinion if you like. If it''''s an easy extraction, I may even do it myself and I certainly would never charge you $1000.
