Patient Review 1:

Dr. Thanik was a consummate professional!!! I had to have 2 implants done at the same time, and my past experience with dentists has left me terrified of any type of dental work. One of my implants was a front tooth...so, it was traumatic as well. Dr. Thanik and his staff made this experience as stress free and tolerable as it could possibly be. He was very compassionate and understanding to my situation. He used everything available to make my experience pleasant.I'm very thankful that I went to him and would gladly recommend him to anyone in need of similiar services!!!Sincerely,Everdina Warren

Patient Review 2:

All the positives of other reviewers. Outstanding personal and professional skills and ethics. Absolutely will refer other patients to him. My regular dentist, who referred me to Dr. Thanik, has been extremely pleased with the outcome of gingival grafting. Dr. Thanik's phone call the day after surgery was most welcome and appreciated.
About Hygienist: All of Dr. Thanik's staff have been most pleasant and helped create a positive experience.

Patient Review 3:

Dr. Thanik performed gum surgery above two of my teeth. I was thrilled with the outcome and the whole experience. My initial consultation was quick, but thorough and informative. He explained that he thought he would have 90% success rate, how the procedure would go and what to expect. He took pre-op photos and sent me to the friendly front desk to schedule my surgery appointment, get an estimate, and get the pain meds ordered in advance of the surgery. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The day of surgery was easy. He was on-time. It only took an hour. It was painless. He kept me informed of what was going on. I took a pain pill right after we were done. He explained again what I could expect and scheduled my two-week follow up appointment. He also gave me very thorough, easy instructions on how to care for the area in which I had surgery.Once the local anesthetic wore off it was painful that day, but the pain medicine did a fine job taking care of it. And the following day I did not need anything more than Advil. I was very pleased and impressed that Dr. Thanik called to check on me the next day. I told him I was feeling so much better. He cautioned me that I could have more swelling and possibly more pain due to

Patient Review 4:

I had an implant done by dr. Thanik on august 6th 2008.It was absolutely incredible: no pain, no stress, fast and easy.He is very honest (he did not charged me for bone graft even if I was prepared for it and had no idea if he did it or not).Overall my impression is very positive and I would recommend him for everybody who needs an implant done by a specialist. The cost is average (he is not the cheapest but also not the most expensive one, Ive seen worst), he offers a discount for those who make the full payment.

Dr. Thanik was wonderful to work with! He was very friendly, and took time to explain everything to me. I was so happy with the results, he did a great job! The staff was very friendly, and always greeted me when I came in. The building itself looks a little old, and could be updated, but overall he was wonderful!

I had three dental implants five days ago, so I suppose it is too early to know if they are a complete success. At this point , I am doing very well. I was very well treated and had some swelling but no other type of pain. I am already playing my harmonica again, which was very important to me.. I was very anxious about this procedure and Dr Thanik was very kind to me.

My gum graft went very smoothly with very little pain and a very quick recovery. Dr. Thanik was both professional and personable. The office was very pleasant and helped me to relax. His staff were all very curteous and friendly. While I hope I never need another graft, I would not hesitate to go back to Dr. Thanik.

Patient Review 9:

I went to Dr. Thanik in late November for what was to be a bone graft procedure in preparation for an implant six months later. While I was under IV sedation, Dr. Thanik discovered that I had more jaw bone than my xray indicated. After a brief consultation with my daughter in the waiting room, Dr. Thanik proceeded with implant surgery. When I was finished and sitting in a wheelchair, I remember him (through quite a fog) informing me that I had saved myself about $1000! A less ethical doctor could have poured some bone in my jaw, sewn me up, and collected for both procedures.Besides his strong sense of ethics, Dr. Thanik has the patience to explain treatment options clearly, reassure even the most frightened patient, and convey a feeling of being in safe, competent hands. I appreciated his follow-up call the day after my surgery, although I felt so good I wasn't home to receive it!Dr. Thanik's staff are terrific, too--very friendly, competent, and reassuring. They obviously think a lot of their boss!I would recommend Dr. Thanik without reservation.Sharon WinnWest Linn

Patient Review 11:

Dr. Thanik is the best. I had 2 bone grafts, followed by a tooth removal, and then an implant. All through every procedure he explained everything, took the time to call me at home at night to check on me, and treated me very kindly. His staff was very knowledgeable. I absolutely trust everything he does, and know that I was in the best hands possible. Implants are easy, really no big deal. Now I have a tooth that I wouldnt have had otherwise, and it looks real. I would do it again. Dr. Thanik takes the scary out of dental work. And along the way, you become a part of their "family". Dr. Thanik even sponsored me for the Mrs. Oregon pageant! Thank you Dr. Thanik! Sincerely, Tammy Wolf, Mrs. Lake Oswego 2005

Patient Review 12:

Dr. Thanik has brought me through bone grafting, gum grafting and 4 implants. He is a true professional, explaning everything, suggesting alternatives, listening to my many concerns, and helping me have the best teeth situation possible. His knowledge and abilty at his craft are truly exceptional. As for the cost, yes implants are expensive, they are an investment in yourself. You deserve to go to Dr. Thanik. Although I had been referred to Dr. Thanik I still paid for several evaluations before settleing on Dr. Thanik. He is the best. You can save your money looking around unless, of course, like me you just need to.When I had concerns many months after my bone grafting about the material used (which he had given me all my options at the time) he promptly sent me detailed records and explanations. His office staff are a joy to work with they have all been there for a very long time and all are senstive, mature, and most responsive to all of your concerns. This is the first review I have ever written and I am very glad to do it. Maya Williams

Patient Review 13:

Dr. Thanik is great! I went in for an evaluation for grafts and he was very thorough in explaining what he thought should be done, and explained the procedure in detail and what I should expect. I haven't had the procedure yet, but he made me feel relaxed and took away my anxiety, He was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend him!
